1. Who is the First100Days Accelerator for?

The program is for ambitious leaders in transition: in a new role, a new strategy, merger or reorganization.

 

My clients come from different industries and company sizes: from large multinationals, smaller family businesses and even start- ups. They are starting (or have just started) in a new leadership role, often at board / MT level or the level below.

They all have one quality in common: they are ambitious and driven to do everything they can to make a success of their new leadership role.

 

2. Where do the sessions take place?

I usually work from Eemnes or Driebergen, but another location is negotiable.

Do you work abroad? No problem! I have good experiences with video calls via Teams or Zoom.

 

3. When is the best time to start the First100 Days program?

A logical moment is to start 1 to 2 weeks prior to your first working day, so that you are well prepared and in the lead from day one.

But this is not necessary. You can also start in your first month. There are even customers who started the program in their third month and used it as a 'second 100 days'.

 

4. When is the right time to discuss the First100Days program with my new employer?

It is useful to discuss your onboarding plan during your interviews.

Include it in your contract negotiation as part of your transition plan. Ultimately, it is an investment that also yields a lot for your organization. The sooner you are up and running, the faster you will deliver value to the organization. Moreover, you increase the chance of further success in your role. That is also in the interest of your organization.

 

If you have already started in a new role, bring it up in a conversation with your manager about your goals and personal development plan. The First100Days program helps accelerate your learning curve so that you can deliver results sooner.

 

5. How do I make this part of my introduction plan?

Discuss it timely, preferably during your contract negotiation (see question above). Then the investment often fits within the recruitment budget.

Furthermore, organizations usually also have a budget for training & education that fits the investment.

State the benefits so that it is clear that the investment pays for itself quickly:

  • It accelerates your transition, allowing you to add value to the organization faster.

  • 50% of outside managers fail within 1.5 years. A good start and good allignment ensures good embedding in the organization. This not only increases the chances of your short term, but also the long term success of you and your team.

 

6. I am quite experienced. Is it appropriate to ask for help with my start?

Realize that you have been hired based on your profile and experience. No matter how experienced you are, everyone knows that every situation demands something different from leaders. What brought you here won't take you there .

The transition to a new company and / or new role is an important and exciting moment for not only you, but also for your company. You both benefit from making your start as successful as possible. 7. What if the company where I will be working already has an introduction program?

That is beautiful and a good sign. Introduction programs give you the opportunity to quickly get to know the 'basics' of the new organization. It is good to check whether this program is also about how to achieve a powerful first 100 day plan. Usually this is not the case.

The First100Days program will go into depth with you: how do you accelerate your strategy, how do you involve your stakeholders in this, how do you build a high performing team and what does all this require from you as a leader?

 

8. What if the organization where I will be working already has its own coaches?

That is good to hear, because it means that the organization sees the importance of personal growth and invests in it. The First100Days program has been specially developed for ambitious leaders starting in a new role. It helps them accelerate their leadership transition.

The program focuses on 3 pillars: strategy, building a strong team and personal leadership. It is partly based on my own 25 years of (management) experience in various organizations, which means I understand your context and business and people challenges.

 

9. Why is this a good investment?

Investing is always exciting. Look especially at what it brings you. Remember that you are investing in a successful start and in your development as a successful leader. A good start increases your chance of further success in your role and realizing your bonus.

10. Is it tax deductible?

Yes, the First100Days program meets the conditions for training costs for work .

You can deduct the investment from your income tax under 'study costs', up to a maximum of € 15,000 per year.

A nice windfall ;).

 

11. Can I try it myself first?

Of course that is always possible. Realize that your first three months will be over before you know it.

Your first months are crucial to your continued success. Then everyone around you has already formed an opinion about you and decided whether or not to cooperate with you.

Ask yourself: what's in it for me to do it on my own? And what will it cost me?

The choice is yours. Will you continue to go on your own, or will you take the short cut?
